Pastiche No.2

I've chossen Brassai`s photograph ‘Paris after Dark, No.27’.

Photograph brings really mysterious and lonely feelings according to almost invisible person in the end of the street.
Picture was taken after rain – reflected lights on the ground.

There is a high contrast between black and white.
Neons, signs, lights from the windows and lanterns makes this typical atmosphere of side street where you need to feel brave enough to turn.
Key point is a camera position, which make viewr feels like a part of the scene.

  1. Happy new year to you Sandy! You seem to be getting along with your projects quite well, so I don't have that much to comment, but as you've been working on a piece about the city as a geometric space I thought you might like to know that an exhibition about Bauhaus is coming to London - unfortunately you have to wait until May for it to open...
I really liked the fact that you've turned your house into a camera obscura, I've always wanted to do that, but am just too lazy... Speaking of camera obscura, are you familiar with the work of Heidi Lunabba? She made a floating camera obscura sauna a couple of years ago - how cool is that! http://heidilunabba.wordpress.com/2010/05/20/sauna-obscura-in-toolobay-helsinki/
